Meet Dr. Tim Belnap

CHANGING SMILES CHANGES LIVES

“I love being an orthodontist! Of course, those beautiful smiles are the most noticeable results of orthodontic care, but knowing that someone’s new smile changes how a person feels about themselves and boosts their self-esteem is why my team and I do what we do.”

Dr. Belnap has been a practicing orthodontist here in Cache Valley for more than 30 years. He was born in Ogden, spent most of his life growing up in River Heights and has called Logan his home for more than 25 years with his wife Kolette, his 5 children, their spouses, and 11 grandchildren. He likes to fish, hunt, travel, and most importantly golf.

EDUCATION

  • Undergraduate degree – Utah State University

  • Doctorate of Dental Surgery – Northwestern University Dental School

  • Postdoctoral orthodontic training – University of Illinois at Chicago

Like all areas of healthcare, orthodontics is a constantly changing field. In the years I’ve practiced, I’ve witnessed the development of remarkable new treatments, technologies, and materials.

It is my responsibility to stay current on new options, to evaluate each in order to determine which are right for my patients. Continuing orthodontic education is the best way for me to keep abreast of what’s happening in my field. By taking courses throughout the year, I learn from the leaders in the specialty.

I’m an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Facial Harmony, and the Pitts Master’s Group. These organizations offer access to the latest knowledge and research, and ensure I’m able to provide each patient with the best care approach to their unique needs.
